Understanding the meaning of the LED color displayed by your charger (Pulsar Plus/Copper SB/Commander 2)

The Wallbox AC chargers integrate a LED system that reflects their charging activity, communicates their status, and reports eventual errors. The color-coding has been defined to be simple, easy to understand, and intuitive.

However, here you will find the status associated with each color for all our chargers to help you understand your device better.

Pulsar Plus

The LED halo is easily recognizable on the facade of your Pulsar. Find below the different colors that can be displayed on your charger and their meaning:

  • GREEN (roulette movement) – Initialization mode

Your Pulsar has been initialized and is powering ON. The green LED will soon stop his rotating movement and will remains still once the initialization process is finished.

  • GREEN Ready mode

Your Pulsar is powered on and is ready to use. The LED will remains green until you connect your vehicle or turn your charger off.

  • TURQUOISE Standby mode

Your vehicle is connected to your Pulsar and communication between both is established. While waiting to complete an action or start the charging process, the LED device remains in this position. This Turquoise LED color is also displayed when:

  1. Your vehicle was into a charging session and is now fully charged;
  2. You paused the charging process through the myWallbox app;
  3. Your vehicle is waiting for power assignation (Power boost error signaling).
  • TURQUOISE (blinking)Scheduled charge ready mode

The LED of your Pulsar is blinking in turquoise to signify that the scheduled charging session (programmed through the myWallbox app) is ready to start (learn more about how to schedule a charging session and their benefits in this related article: How to make a scheduled charging session with your Pulsar Plus).

Please note that if you connect the vehicle more than 12 hours before the schedule, the vehicle will start charging automatically.

  • DARK BLUE (slow blinking)Charging mode

The LED indicator will show a blinking dark blue light once the secure connection between your charger and your vehicle has been established, and the charging process is in progress.

  • YELLOW Locked mode

This color will appear on your charger when you locked your Pulsar through the myWallbox app or the online portal.

Please note that to lock your charger, your electric vehicle must be disconnected. If more than one user is assigned to your charger, it will lock automatically after a few seconds of the absence of any user activity. As soon as the charger is unlocked, it will display the turquoise color (ready mode). If your charger is waiting for a schedule or a charge, the LED system will blink turquoise color.

  • RED Error mode

Your charger is in fault mode. Do not try to charge in this condition. The detected problem could emanate from your charger, your electric vehicle, or the electric grid system. Contact Wallbox Service so our team can advise you on the best follow-up procedure.

  • ORANGE (blinking)MID Configuration error

The communication between your Pulsar and your MID meter has failed. You can refer to this article for more assistant on how to install and configure your MID meter properly: Configuring MID metering or download and consult the MID meter here.

  • WHITE (high-speed roulette movement)Firmware update

The firmware of your charger is being updated. Do not perform any action during this process or your Pulsar might get damaged.

 

Copper SB

The Copper SB charger integrates the LED system on the top right corner of its facade. This LED system has different significations depending on the color it displays. Find below the different colors signals that can be displayed on your charger and their meaning:

  • GREEN Initialization and Ready mode

When you power on your Copper SB, the LED system will turn green, fade, and then turns green again once the initialization process is down and your charger is ready to use. The LED will remains green until you connect your vehicle or turn off your charger.

  • WHITE Electric vehicle not plugged into your charger

If the LED of your Copper SB is white, it means that the cable of your electric vehicle is not plugged into your charger.

  • WHITE (blinking)Electric vehicle’s cable wrongly plugged into your charger

Your electric vehicle’s cable is wrongly plugged in to your charger. Please disconnect and reconnect the cable from your electric vehicle to the charger to solve the problem.

  • DARK BLUE (slow blinking)Charging mode

Your vehicle is connected to your Copper SB and the charge session is in process.

  • YELLOWLocked mode

The charger is locked. Only an authorised user can unlock it. User authentication can be done via RFID card, myWallbox app, or myWallbox portal.

Please note that to lock your charger, your car must be disconnected. If more than one user is assigned to your charger, it will lock automatically after a few seconds of the absence of any user activity.   • RED Error mode

Your charger is in fault mode. Do not try to charge in this condition. The detected problem could emanate from your charger, your electric vehicle, or the electric grid system. Contact Wallbox Service so our team can advise you on the best procedure to follow.

  • GREEN (slow bouncing) – Firmware update

The firmware of your charger is being updated. Please note that the LED system will turn completely off during the flashing process. Don’t perform any action during this process or your Copper SB could be damaged.

POWER SHARING ERROR SIGNALING

Your Copper SB can also display a signal if an error occurs when used for Power Sharing. Find below the related colors that can be displayed by the LED system:

  • RED (30 sec) – Secondary not paired

Your charger is not able to connect with the Secondaries chargers of the grid. Please refer to the Power Sharing Installation Guide for more information.

  • GREEN/WHITE/LIGHT BLUE (blinking) – Stand-alone mode

Your Copper SB could not be paired with the others chargers of your Power sharing system. Please refer to the Power Sharing Installation Guide for more information.

POWER BOOST ERROR SIGNALING

Your Copper SB can also display a signal if an error occurs when used with the Power Boost system. Find below the related colors that can be displayed by the LED system:

  • LIGHT BLUE (blinking) – Secondary not paired

Your Power Boost system has no power available to charge now. Please refer to the Power Boost Installation Guide for more information.

Commander 2

The Commander 2 integrates the LED system on the top right corner of its facade, just above its screen. This LED system has different significations depending on the color it displays. Find below the different colors signals that can be displayed on your charger and their meaning:

  • GREEN Initialization and Ready mode

When you power on your Commander 2, the LED system will turn green, fade, and then turns green again once the initialization process is down and your charger is ready to use. The LED will remains green until you connect your car or turn off your charger.

  • DARK BLUE (slow blinking)Charging mode

Your vehicle is connected to your Commander 2 and the charge session is in process.

  • YELLOW Locked mode

Your Commander 2 could not be paired with the others chargers of your Power sharing system. Please refer to the Power Sharing Installation Guide for more information.

POWER BOOST ERROR SIGNALING

Your Commander 2 can also display a signal if an error occurs when used with the Power Boost system. Find below the related colors that can be displayed by the LED system:

  • LIGHT BLUE (blinking) – Secondary not paired

Your Power Boost system has no power available to charge now. Please refer to the Power Boost Installation Guide for more information.
