To enhance the security of your Wallbox charger, you can set a PIN to protect its Bluetooth connection. This feature ensures only authorized users can access and control the charger via Bluetooth.
What is the Bluetooth Passcode?
After updating your charger to software version 6.7.17 (or higher), you can use the Wallbox app to add a PIN to secure your charger’s Bluetooth connection. The PIN is a fixed, 6-digit code unique to your charger and is automatically assigned and managed through the Wallbox App.
Once the PIN is set, your phone will disconnect from the charger, and you will need to input the PIN to reconnect to your charger.
From that point onward, anyone attempting to connect to the charger via Bluetooth must enter the unique PIN. This ensures that only authorized users can access the charger. The PIN is automatically shared with all Wallbox users with access to the charger.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Bluetooth Passcode
- Update your charger and Wallbox app to the latest version.
- Open the Wallbox app and connect to your charger. (If prompted, accept the pairing request to link with the device).
- A pop-up will appear, prompting you to set up the Bluetooth Passcode.
- After applying the Passcode, the Bluetooth connection will be temporarily interrupted.
- When reconnecting, you must enter the PIN to establish the Bluetooth connection.
