How to update the firmware of your Pulsar

Keep your charger always updated to enjoy and take advantage of all the functionalities it offers you.

Introduction

Wallbox always wants to provide its customers the best products, services and user experience. As a consequence, we consider it a must that all chargers installed at our clients’ premises are always up to date in order to:

  • Ensure the perfect and robust behaviour of all our customers’ Wallbox devices
  • Give our customers the possibility to access all new functionalities that Wallbox develops

All our chargers allow this functionality as a part of the full management of the charging experience we want to provide to our end users.

Firmware update of a Pulsar charger:

Below you will find the instructions showing how to update your charger’s firmware. Before starting, please make sure you have the latest version of the Wallbox app downloaded on your phone by checking your mobile phone’s App Store or Play Store. Also, please ensure that the EV gun is not plugged into the car during this process.

1.- Activate Bluetooth on your phone and get close to the charger.

2- Open the Wallbox app.

3.- If you are not automatically logged in please fill in your credentials:

4.- Once logged in select your charger:

5.- Your app will then link to your charger. The HALO of your charger will turn purple during the synchronisation process:

6.- In the app, press the Configuration icon:

7.- If there is an update available, a message at the bottom of the screen will appear. Please click this message:

8- The process of updating the charger goes through two different phases:

  • Installation of the Kernel
  • Installation of the Firmware

At the end of these two processes, an update confirmation message will appear:

During the update process, the charger’s HALO will turn white and rotate clockwise.

VERY IMPORTANT: Never turn off the charger, or log out the app during the update process. The interruption of this process will leave the charger inoperative and a visit from a technician would be necessary.

9.- Whenever you want to check the firmware version of your charger, you can do this in the Wallbox app. In the Configuration menu, select “Charger Info”, and you will see the current version of your device:

  1. After last Update Firmware, my APP at my Phone will ot connect to my Wallbox Pulsar. Before that, two updates were installed succesfully.
    After the last Update, the Name of the Wallbox changed by itself. Its not possible to paire it again to bluetooth device.
    Wahbt i have to do now?
